Capture the Everyday: Something You Collect

Capture the Everyday: Something You Collect

Straws.

Origami.

Strawgami.

I can get Liam to kill any number of hours in the car by simply giving him a straw. Sure toys are nice, but he tires of them quickly.

A simple straw he uses as a tool with which to create endless art.

(bend, crinkle, crinkle, bend) Mamma! Look, I made a house!

(bend, crinkle, crinkle, bend) Mamma! Look, I made a fish!

(bend, crinkle, crinkle, bend) Mamma! Look, I made a motorcycle!

...and so on and so on and so on.

So, I make sure to have lots of them in the glove compartment for when he feels inspired to create.

What do you collect?

Capture the Everyday is about getting you to capture those everyday moments in your life! Each Tuesday, she’ll issue a simple challenge to capture something that’s a part of your daily life. You can post just a picture or add some words to go along with it. You’ll have a week to get it done and then she’ll issue another. It’s a quick, easy way to start capturing those little parts of life we sometimes take for granted.
