My pint-size wake up call set the tone for our day. Very gently, very quietly he climbed on top of me...forehead to forehead, nose to nose, mouth to mouth and set himself on me in full on plank and laid there absolutely still until I woke. Then he gave me a kiss and climbed down and asked if he we could have breakfast before we got dressed.
We had a casual breakfast of mini-cinnamon raisin bagels while reading High Five magazine. You'll notice he's naked except for the unicorn tattoo from Sparklecorn at BlogHer.
Then we worked for a long time on some workbooks. Counting was the theme today and I learned that he had no idea that thirteen and fourteen weren't the same number.
I'm a cash girl. I can usually break a $20 into any set of alternate denominations that you want. I do better balancing my budget with cash than credit. We made a quick trip to the ATM since my wallet was bare.
As a mom of a little guy that is obsessed with anything with wheels, particularly trash trucks I couldn't help but take a picture of our "sighting".
It's been raining a lot this week, so we went to the library and the play area was full...of course. So we played some games on the computer first.
Here's the awesome "town" called Storyville that is located inside the local library.
He put on a little play for me.
Read his baby a book.
And, then we had to leave because (Big.Fat. Sigh.) he peed. I am convinced that he will NEVER be potty trained. He could care less that he's soaking wet or soiled. The hidden joys of parenting, no?
Then we went to the grocery store. I love these mini-carts. Grocery shopping went form something I had to fit in after work when I was exhausted to a really fun thing to do together. It takes a couple of hours with him, but it's like a game to him and we can knock it out during the day.
Then I thought Liam might take a nap again and I took full advantage of it. He did (Sorry, Tim!) and I woke up just in time to put on my work clothes and slip out the door. It's pretty easy to get dressed as an interpreter...black on black on black on black.
Then it was off to work where someone asked who the first President of the United States was and three grown adults answered Abraham Lincoln. #TrueStory
That was my Thursday. How was yours?
