My Hero

This is my grandfather, Albert Hansen and he was one of many who helped to keep this country safe. He served in the Navy from January 1943 to January 1946 and like many who served during the war he didn't really ever talk much about it.

When he passed, we found lots of pictures and artifacts that we weren't able to put together. I wish we knew more. I wish we had asked more.

Today, I'll be thinking of him and my grandmother and remembering them.
