Review (1800Flowers)

Believe it or not, Halloween is right around the corner. At our house we always celebrate Halloween with our Annual Pumpkin Carving party and this year 1.800.Flowers sent us some delicious pumpkin cookies to carve eat before the big day arrives. It's like Trick-or-Treating one Cheryl & Co. cookie at a time.

These cookies (24) arrived without a single crack or crumb out of place. Each of the 24 cookies was individually wrapped, perfect for taking for those mommy sugar cravings on the go or to share at your kid's class party. Orange frosted pumpkins, green frosted stems, and plenty of sugar cookie bliss. These cookies skewed a bit sweet for me so I ate one of the course of the day (several days in a row), but the hubs and little dude could simply not get enough. When I told my husband we were going to save a few for a play date, he was jealous of those that he wouldn't get to devour.

Great cookies. Great service.

  1. I love different cookies depending on the weather or my mood. Right now I am in the mood for Gingersnaps or Carmelitos.

  4. I enjoy celebrating Halloween throughout the whole month. Going apple picking, weber's farm, hay rides, haunted houses (before Noah). And now trick or treating. But, since Halloween is also my birthday - no matter what we do it's always been a great celebration! ~ Alisyne

  5. Although I love home made cookies, I am a sucker for those soft sugar cookies with that really bad for you frosting. I love Rich's favorite choc oat chip cookies too, that is our go to cookie, made with whole wheat flour and all those oats it is not too bad for you :-) Oh and Alissa, I totally thought you made those cookies at first! Glad you enjoyed your delicious treats!

  6. My favorite way to celebrate Halloween is to do our own home made costumes with the kids. Last year Seamus was a aluminum foil robot complete with real blinking LED's (thanks to Daddy!) Emmalise was her favorite book character Fancy Nancy, which was just lots of fancy dress ups and jewelry. My friend always throws a great party that we look forward to. We have to go pick our second bushel of apples too, so I hope our weather clears up!

  8. I love the golden glow everything has around this time of year; campfires, burning leaves and twigs, jack-o-lanterns burning with candles, fall harvest foods...especially warm apple pie, which I haven't made yet this year! Mmmm jan.enders@yahoo.com

  10. I would host a Halloween costume party every single year if it were up to me. That, however, is not my husband's idea of a fun time. I threw some great ones back in the day, though.

  11. Pumpkin Carving! Yay! Got any chocolate eyes?

Just today, I was also thinking about Pumpkin Chunkin and AppleScrapple Festivals in MD. Haunted Hayrides, Corn Mazes, and Scavenger Hunts. This year tho- will involve Bingo and Karaoke. Woot woot!

  13. I'm wondering how hardcore you are at pumpkin carving? I saw a show last year where the man used a Dremel tool. I was inspired. My husband hid the Dremel. --Julia

  14. Mmmm... Molasses cookies are my FAV. I don't get them very often, but when I do, they go way too fast.

  15. October is my FAVORITE month of the year! But, my favorite part of Halloween has got to be the preparation of getting a costume together. One year, the hubs & I went as Popcorn & Cotton Candy (costumes we made ourselves!) and won a costume contest. My kids have a couple of fun ones this year too. Love it.

  16. My favorite cookie is a newly built gingerbread house. Chewy gingerbread held together by the rock hard frosting that melts in your mouth. Of course, I love all the candy on it too! Always our dessert for Christmas dinner. Can't wait to share in the tradition of building one with my kids. I think my two year old is ready this year!

  17. I love an old fashioned costume parade on Halloween. Costumes mixed with the anticipation of trick or treating----electric energy!
