Blue Ribbon

I have had a wonderful time working with the 365 photo bloggers tackling the ABC Photo Challenge during the first 26 days of April. I do have to admit that every day I sang the Cookie Monster song for each post. You know, "C is for Cookie. It's good enough to eat."? That's right I sang to myself  "A is for Aquarium. It's good enough to eat." all the way thru "Z is for Zoo. It's good enough to eat."

So, I have no official BLUE RIBBON giving power. However, my three favorite photos are listed below. (Click on each to be redirected to the original fabulous photos.)

1st- F is for Fly
2nd- X is for Xrossing
3rd- J is for Jump

Z is for Zoo

We love the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore. Liam is checking out some cranes and guinea hens. It's awesome that we can do the zoo this year, sans stroller.

***Check back in tomorrow as I choose my favorite photo from all those participating in the ABC Photo Challenge!***

Captain Obvious

See that big box blocking the entrance to my house?

That's where the FedEx guy left it.

See that note stuck to my door?

That's the note he wrote telling me that he left the box on my front steps.

Just in case I missed the box?????

X is for Xylophone

I knew I wanted to do this shot from the very moment Lizzy suggested this ABC Photo Challenge. Liam and I spend every Monday at our local library for storytime and at the end of each session they let the kids play with musical instruments. And, this little xylophone gets a workout with all the kids. We've been going since he was 5 weeks old and he'll age out in June. It'll be a very sad day for me. We've met such great people and the librarians are just fantastic!

W is for Wagon

Liam loves this wagon that his grandparents got for him last year. We have been so lucky to have it out for the season now since early March. It does have a canopy that we can attach when it gets really hot, to give him some shade.

V is for Vroom

Little dude in motion. Although technically he says 'room. And his daddy has taught him to say "Porshe car" --they too say 'room.

U is for Uncle Kevin

So this is an oldie, last Christmas, but I just couldn't bear not using it for my "U" shot. My brother Kevin, had these shirts made up last year and it's just too ridiculously cute!

S is for Strawberry

Liam loves "finger food" aka food that fits on his finger that he can carry around. Historically that's been olives, Cheerios, raspberries, etc. Now he can add strawberries to that list.

R is for Rhythm

This might look like an assortment of items left over from a construction job or the end of the day at a window washing job in the city. But, to those who have seen the rhythm makers who drum on these buckets and strum on these carts outside the Verizon Center in Washington, DC they know this is the making of auditory magic.

Q is for Building Q

This is the building where I took and passes all 3 of my interpreting performance exams.

Go Q!

P is for Pediatrician

So I couldn't resist adding these shots since we ended up at the Pediatrician's office today. In this one he is very excited that they gave him the plastic probe off of the thermometer which also doubled as a sword.

And, in this one...well, he just whipped out a side of cuteness.

P is for Project

Lowe's offers "projects" that kids can do with their parents for FREE in their Build and Grow program. Here Liam and Tim make a kaleidoscope.

O is for Ostrich

Not the clearest picture in the world. But, my buddy was so miserable today that we took a quite 45 minute trip to the zoo. He stayed put in the stroller except to check out these bad boys girls.

M is for Mardi Gras

This photo is from February, but it was just too adorable not to include. We have friends who have a Mardi Gras party every year for the kids. And, when I got home from work, he was ready to show me his loot.

L is for Lunch

Having a little jelly sandwich for lunch with Grace.

Don't be alarmed by the Band Aid container on his plate. He likes to pretend they are "sugar packets" and was handing them to Grace to cheer her up.

K is for Kick

Liam is all about his "sock-ah bawwwl" these days. He scored this one in Indy while visiting Grandma and he is in love. Here he is practicing his dribbling. Look out Pele, here comes Liam.

J is for Jelly

Our little man loves him some jelly. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack it makes no difference to him. Anytime you ask him what to eat it's "JELLYYYYY!!!" at the top of his lungs or whispered "jelly" all conspiratorial like. But jelly JELLY jelly rules the roost in our house. Pictured is what we'll consume in about a month.

Maybe I should invest in Smucker's and Polaner stock.
