WE Have The Power To CHANGE The World
Six days after I arrived in Washington, DC in 1999 I participated in the AIDS Walk. As we walked with thousands of others committed to help find an end to this disease and to honor the millions of lives it had taken too early, I also learned so much about this fabulous city that I would call home.
The following year I participated in the AIDS marathon fundraising program and ran and completed the Marine Corp. Marathon.
It's World AIDS Day today.
Please take a moment today to remember all those who have lost partners, parents, children and friends to this disease.
Peace!
