Lightening McQueen to the Rescue

These days our house is abuzz with seemingly never-ending conversations about the potty, potty training, Pull-Ups, big boy underwear, pee-pee, poo-poo and so on. If you have already mastered the fine art of not going the bathroom willy-nilly and always having a dry day--rest assured we have talked about it and you.

Our little guy understands the concept, but just gets so immersed in play that he doesn't take the time needed to pause, go potty and come back to his activity. However, with our handy dandy new Pull-Ups training pants from Target we are making even more progress. He LOVES the new cars theme on them with not only Lightening McQueen but Mater too. And, I love the fully detachable sides--this makes clean up from accidents SO MUCH easier!

On Tuesday morning (also his birthday) just after he had gone to use his potty not once but twice he received a very special call from Ted Tredsky of Radiator Springs to tell Liam how proud he was of him for being such a big boy with his "training". While the call doesn't specifcially address "potty training" it does talk about what a good job he does "training". These super cool calls from the Cars 2 movie or Cinderella of Disney princess fame could be used to encourage other positive behaviors as well.

"Disney Character Calls" are brought to you/us courtesy of Huggies® Pull-Ups® training pants and are a Target® exclusive offer to assist moms and dads through their child’s potty training and development. Simply log on to bigkidcalls.com or bigkids.mobi select the character (Cars 2 or Princess) you'd like to call your budding potty trainer, enter in your mobile number, day and time you'd like your little one to receive the call along with your time zone and Viola! The calls are FREE and if my little guy is any indication they are a big hit.

Is this who I think it is?

OMG. I can't believe my ears.

Whoa. Did this just really happen to me? So cool.
He was very attentive to the call, but the real WIN was a few hours later when he had really processed what had happened. He's been telling everyone the last few days about his super awesome and supportive call.

Thanks Target and Pull-Ups for this tremendous opportunity to make potty training a reality in our household.

Now the fun part, you can enter to win a $25 Target gift card to purchase your own set of Pull-Ups. All you need to do is leave a comment. The winner will be chosen at 11:59pm on June 24, 2011.
