I've always been proud to be a woman. We as a gender have come a long way, but we've still got a long way left to go. I love that having a son has helped me to re-frame my feminist state-of-mind. I have to find ways to teach him about women and girls in a healthy, respectful way while embracing the fact that he is a boy who will grow up into a respectful and respected man.

It's a challenge I embrace.
