Growing up I had one set of grandparents who lived several states away and a grandmother who lived in the same town. And, let's not kid each other--she treated me like a QUEEN.
Until just a few years ago I wasn't a big fan of chocolate. Don't get me wrong, I loved sugar just as much as the next kid, it was just usually of the fruity variety.
The rare exception to this rule was Hershey's Krackle candy bars.
My grandmother would always have an assortment of Hershey's Miniatures around for guests on her coffee table. But, if you looked closely--all the red wrapped Krackle bars would be mysteriously missing from the mix. She'd set them aside for me...now that's LOVE!
On occasion we would go to our local mall together, perhaps for a back to school shopping trip or to see Santa Claus at Christmas. In that mall there was a drugstore that carried KING SIZE Krackle bars and she'd always get me one. I can see the bright red wrapper on the shelf now and almost hear the crackling sound of opening the ever so crisp aluminum paper that enveloped them.
Not only was the chocolate sweet, but so are the memories.
With the Superbowl fast approaching (tomorrow), pick up a big or two or four for your party and create memories all your own. Hershey's Miniatures will provide your party guests with just that little bit of chocolate that balances out all the savory flavors of a Superbowl party.
Additionally, for all the football fans out there Hershey’s is partnering with Hall-of Famer Emmitt Smith for the Pro-Football Hall of Fame Sweepstakes. Now through February 28th, you can visit their site to enter for a chance to win a trip for four to the 2011 Pro-Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival Weekend. During the weekend, the winner and three guests will be hosted by Emmitt, as well as have their likeness on display in the form of chocolate busts.
A chocolate likeness of yourself? How fun is that!!
Hershey's has also graciously agreed to let me select 5 winners who can create their own memories with a bag Hershey's Miniatures.

Well, I've always loved chocolate. And we used to go to Hershey Park every year and my favorite part was Hershey Chocolate world where at the end you got a free chocolate treat. We'd ride that one a few times :o) and we always got to pick out a bar or two in the giftshop - I liked mr. goodbar and the krackles, too! ~ Alisyne

ReplyDeleteI love the red ones as well. at work I have a tin with cows on it that everyone knows is the "i gotta have chocholate now" hiding spot but the red ones never go in there.
My sweet memory is that when I first started dating my now husband he always had candy in his coat pockets. It was nice to know that if you had a bad day or a sugar craving you could just reach in his pocket and there would be candy awaiting you.
