5 Foods

If you were limited to only 5 foods for the rest of your life, what would they be?

For the most part, I'm a simple food person and so this "5" post was easy-peasy to do.

1) Hot Dogs

(I'm not picky, any kind will do. Although I do love me a Chicago dog when given the choice.)

2) Mac & Cheese

(I love the White Cheddar Mac & Cheese from Panera. So if they could just send me the recipe that'd be great.)

3) Pizza

(Green olives and ham, please. It's a hard find out East, but back in the Midwest I always ordered it this way.)

4) Bing Cherries

(Could eat 'em til I get sick, in fact I have. Soooo gooooood!)

5) Green Olives

(I know it's a bit redundant since I listed them as a pizza topping, but I love them--always have, always will.)

So, come on! Tell me! What would make your Top 5?

  1. I'm already limited! But, top 5 foods would be:

    1) blackberries - best when picked right off the vine in a spontaneous pull over because you could smell them in the warm sun and using whatever you have handy to carry them in

    2) tomatoes - the perfect food. Eaten alone like an apple or in my salsa.....delish!

    3) Rainier cherries - see Alissa's comments re bing cherries

    4) ANY potato - any color, any type, any way they are cooked.....yummmm!

    5) Garlic - slightly addicting :)

  8. I have often said I have my own 5 food groups.

    1. Pasta - any kind, with any add-ins (favorites are asparagus, black olives, and tons of garlic!). I especially love mac and cheese; my homemade version, not the box kind!
    2. Cheese - provolone, parmesan, extra sharp cheddar, mozzarella, any kind...
    3. Poppyseed Bagels
    4. Chocolate
    5. Seafood

  10. ok, i'll play:

    1. tacos. i know this is a little broad, but if you haven't lived in the southwest, you have no idea...

    2. so with you. bing cherries. no question.

    3. shrimp. shrimp. shrimp.

    4. breakfast tacos. a whole different beast. i am playing the southwest card again.

    5. since tacos have the potential to cover a world of protein, i'm going chocolate on my last pick.

  11. @ Bryan: Breakfast tacos, I could totally get behind those.

These "5" posts are silly, but lots of folks always comment--so I indulge myself in a comment-a-palooza every now and again.
