Bloggity

It's been awhile since I've had a "Bloggity" post up on the blog (March 30). So, if you're new since then these posts are where I ask for feedback and let you know about new stuff.

Starting things off are two new tabs just under the header for this site. One called "Shop" is now active and has a link to my new shop on Cafe Press. Feel free to take a moment and browse. Let me know what you think.

The second new tab is called "PIF" that I have started to keep the momentum going from November. Folks really seemed to like the Pay it Forward series and I didn't want that momentum to end. As moments to pay it forward present themselves in your life, share with us there.

Now onto the good stuff....feedback! The last go 'round folks asked for things like a larger font size (done.), to ditch the then "new" template (done.), to have more contests (done.), to not have multiple posts in a single day (for the most part, done.).

So, as we head into 2011 tell me what kinds of things you really like here on HSWT? Anything you would like to see changed? What would like to see more of? Particular content? Do you enjoy the guest bloggers? More of that? Less? Giveaways--are you still enjoying them? How often would you like to see them here? And anything else you'd like to comment on or provide feedback on, please share.

I'd love to see the feedback as comments because maybe something you have to say will inspire someone else and we can have a real dialogue about how to make this blog more robust for all of us.

However, if you'd rather keep your comments private, feel free to e-mail them to me at havestrollerwilltravel at gmail dot com.

Peace!

  1. I love that you've included "PIF" and "Shop" tabs, a great way to expand you blog and attract a larger audience. GO YOU!

Have you given any thought to creating a logo/brand that could be used for your header? It could be a great way to keep your blog and merchandise consistent!

The giveaways are so fun and a creative way to get people to post more frequently!

I'll explore some more and post any other comments/thoughts later :)

  2. Oooo I love Karen's ideas. I too love the additions. I also browsed through all of the merchandise, and it is all excellent! I am crazy about pay it forward, so inspiring, I hope everyone participates because they are definitely a feel good read. I don't think I ever told you this- but I love the title "Have stroller will travel" so of course I think the logos rock. So cool for a mom! I also loved the "thankful" posts on Thanksgiving. That is a great theme to carry through the year, but I am sure it is hard to get participants. Anyway- thanks for all of your hard work and for making this so enjoyable. Love it all!

  4. @ Karen: I have thought of branding and have a little something in "the works". Cafe Press suggests that you do a wide variety of merchandise to increase sales. So, I thought I'd try it their way first. And, if it doesn't broaden my reach, then I'll scale back to a very "branded" shop. :)

What kinds of items would you like to see for giveaways? What would you like to win?

Keep the comments coming!! I love 'em and thanks for all your thoughtful insight. It really is appreciated. :D

  5. @ Allison: Thanks for the compliments on the name. It'll last another few years and then I'll have to re-brand without a stroller since Liam might begin to take offense. LOL.

    Noted about PIF and Thankful.

If the shop takes off, I'll pay to have a custom shop, so I don't have to carry things like the "clocks". How random are those???

You were the person last March who mentioned more giveaways. What categories of items would you be interested in?

  6. @ Stampmouse: It's easy peasy to make pages. Simply go to the "posting" tab and then you will see three options under that tab. The one to the far right says "edit pages"...there you go. Then in the "design" you can click on the pages widget and fiddle with which order you'd like them to appear on your site. Let me know if you have any more questions.

    Thanks for commenting!
