Lifting Spirits

Two people that are very close to us and whom we love very much each received devastating news last Wednesday. The only way we seemed to be able to handle it last week was to hold each other more, tell each other how much we loved one another, and Liam even scored a few snuggle naps.

Both of these brave people had to go back to hear more news today and we just wanted to send them both some incredible energy.

Above, I posted a song that I can't help but smile to. Liam can't help but laugh at as we run around the house "dancing". So, if you've got an uplifting quote, video, song, etc. Please post it below and help us lift their spirits.

  1. The best way to lift my spirits is to be surrounded by good friends who will let me cry in my beer, but be there to help me find something to laugh about again. It is in these moments that you really do find out who your real, true-blue friends are. If I don't have friends within an arms reach, I usually veg out with a comfy blanket and a movie. If I need a good cry -- The Notebook & Beaches are two [cliché] flicks I go to, but they do the job. If I want to laugh, The Princess Bride or the South Park Movie always lift my spirits... as well as Chocolat, just because Johnny Depp is yummy and can get my mind off of anything! ;) And finally, I don't know if this quote helps, but: If at first you don't succeed, then sky diving isn't for you.

  2. Thanks, Kelli! One of the folks sent me a note that your "tears in your beer" advice made them laugh. For that I can't thank you enough. :)
