City That Never Sleeps

I had an incredible weekend in New York at the BlogHer conference. A weekend that led to great new ideas and directions for this blog, be on the look out for all sorts of good stuff to come! I also had the opportunity to hear some really incredible women speak--more of those stories soon too. First, my inbox...

But the best part of this trip really was the opportunity to stay with my sister. When our parents married she was younger than my son is and this weekend I stayed at her place. It was pretty incredible, even if it does mean I'm getting old. She's this incredibly amazing person and although she's younger I've always looked up to her. She seems to be one of those people who always knows how to make the "right" choice in life. She's living and thriving in the big city...well right outside it technically. While I was there she got offered a job, good-bye internship--HELLO salary. I'm so proud of her and I'm so glad that she's so close and that we'll be able to see each other much more often than twice a year.

And, there were some very hilarious pix taken of us in a photo booth that will have to make an appearance on the blog when they arrive.
