Skeeved Out
I don't know if it skeeves anyone else out. But, it makes me sick even thinking about touching magazines in waiting rooms at any sort of clinical place. I mean, sick people touch them ALL. DAY. LONG.
Yuck.
It near gives me a panic attack thinking about it, especially the books they have at the pediatrician's office. I'm convinced measles or scarlet fever or the end of the human race is hidden right around page 17.
(Disclaimer: I did of course have to touch these to place them on the bed for the photo, but I assure you it barely involved a finger and included lots of hand sanitizer.)

lol nope doesn't bother me at all. you get more germs just touching your own face. besides a little germ intolerence is what everyone needs anyhow. not making fun of you or anything just a diffferent opinion on germs and after 13 + years in an office that has clients that are less than clean I can tell you we don't get sick that often.
ReplyDeleteI totally know where you are coming from and completely agree about building up the old immune system. I don't get stressed over him putting things in his mouth, eating twigs, etc. ...but something about those magazines I just can't get over. :)
ReplyDeleteI hear ya sister. It seems irrational, but...that is how it is. Notice pediatricians haev taken the TOYS away, they must know something.
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought you were skeeved out because the germy magazines were where you were going to put your bum and then you said you moved them there and I got totally confused. Lol.
ReplyDeletenever gave it a thought until all the kid books disappeared from our kids' doctor's exam rooms last year.
ReplyDelete@ Lizzy: I moved them there from the chair to take this picture. Heck I waited so long I could have wallpapered the room with them. In fact, that might be exactly what I do the next time I wait for 90 minutes.
ReplyDeleteDear Doctor, Expect me to come equipped with tape next time.
@ PG: Our pediatrician still has loads of books out. I'll have to see next time if they have mysteriously disappeared from their waiting room too.
